Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data the ideacrafters.com website collects, why, who receives it and what your rights are under Algerian Law No. 18-07 of 10 June 2018 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data, as amended and supplemented by Law No. 25-11 of 24 July 2025. Last updated: 15 October 2026.

1. Who is responsible

Your data is processed by IdeaCrafters SARL, Cité Saïd Hamdine, Résidence Chaabani, Bâtiment 06, Lot 12, Bir Mourad Raïs, Algiers, Algeria, together with IdeaCrafters LLC, Sheridan, Wyoming, USA ("IdeaCrafters", "we").

2. Data we collect

When you send the Join form

  • Your name and email address
  • Your organization, if you give one
  • Who you are (Hub, Studio or Investor) and what you are looking for
  • Your message, if you write one
  • The date you sent the form and your agreement to this policy

When you visit the website

Google Analytics records how the site is used: the pages you view, the links you click, how you arrived (a search, a link, an ad), your device, browser and language, and your approximate location (city level). It stores a random identifier in cookies on your device (see section 10). Google Analytics does not store your IP address.

We do not ask for sensitive data (health, religion, political opinions and similar). Please do not include any in your message.

3. Why we use it

  • To reply to your request and follow up with you
  • For Studio applications: to assess your project or skills and match founders, teams, mentors and partners
  • To introduce your project to people or organizations who may be interested in funding it
  • To invite you to IdeaCrafters events and send you news related to your request
  • To measure how the website and our campaigns perform, and improve them

4. Legal basis

We process the data you send through the form on the basis of your express consent (Article 7 of Law 18-07), which you give by ticking the box on the form. This consent also covers the storage of your data with our service providers outside Algeria (Article 45, see section 6). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us; this does not affect what was done before.

Website statistics rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Article 7), limited to the data described in section 2.

5. Who receives your data

The IdeaCrafters team. For Studio applications, we may also share your name, contact details and a description of your project with people or organizations who may be interested in funding or supporting it.

We also use the following service providers, who process the data on our behalf:

  • Amazon Web Services (France): hosts our contact database (CRM) and waiting lists
  • Cloudflare (United States, global network): hosts the website and protects the forms against spam
  • Google (United States): Google Analytics, website statistics
  • Postmark (United States): sends our emails to you
  • Discord (United States): notifies our team that a new form was received

We do not sell your data or give it to anyone for their own marketing.

6. Transfers outside Algeria

The providers listed above store or process data in France, the United States and other countries of their networks. By ticking the consent box, you expressly agree to this transfer of your data outside Algeria (Article 45 of Law 18-07). If you do not agree, do not send the form and write to us instead.

7. How long we keep it

  • Join form data: kept until you ask us to delete it or withdraw your consent.
  • Website statistics: kept by Google Analytics for 14 months, then deleted.

8. Security

Only the team members who need your data can access it. Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and our providers are bound to protect it.

9. Your rights

Under Articles 34 to 37 of Law 18-07, you can:

  • Know whether we hold data about you and get a copy of it
  • Have it corrected, completed or deleted, free of charge, within 10 days of your request
  • Object to its use, and refuse news and invitations at any time without giving a reason
  • Withdraw your consent

To use these rights, write to hello@ideacrafters.com from the address you gave us. You can also file a complaint with the Algerian data protection authority (ANPDP), anpdp.dz.

10. Cookies

The site uses only the Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier). They hold a random identifier that lets Google count returning visits, and expire after up to 2 years. We use no advertising cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

We will update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
